Welcome to Impressions Plus

Ken Ball admits to being inspired by the legacy of impressionist masters such as Cezanne, Monet and Pissaro. Of his 2006 retrospective exhibition, the gallery Director wrote: “Ken’s current work trades the hard-edged realism of his early career in photojournalism for the softer, more ethereal qualities of his recent forays into fine art photography”

The galleries on this website clearly show his success with impressionist and abstract photography, topics he lectures on regularly in Australia and New Zealand. Ken has published eight books in the last six years on impressionist photography and one on portraits of inspiring women in Australia and New Zealand. These are available on this website — all books numbered and autographed upon request.
